I meant to post the last part of my epic snow safari last week sometime, but my homework piled up (as it does), and I never managed to get around to it.
But! I am here now, and I am proud to present the final part of my delightful snow safari. (On a side now, it appears that I picked exactly the right day to go on this little adventure; it has since not snowed an inch, and it appears that the weather is slouching towards springtime, which does not bug me in the least.)
So after exploring around behind the building where I live most of the semester, I went around and made my way over to the library. This is just a part of it, and I really like the mosaic whatever there along the top of the building.
So much so that I took another picture of it. Also, I really like that atrium there on the left; it’s got a cafe in it, and there are cozy chairs and stuff in there, too.
Adjacent to the library is the old football field. They kept the stadium seats in, but most of the field has been taken over by the fine arts building.
Another view from the top of the stadium seats. Aren’t those columns lovely?
It’s a veritable army of robins! It must be springtime! Or very nearly, anyway.
This tree doesn’t lose its leaves in the fall for some reason. It’s strangely beautiful, though it’s a bit creepy when the wind is blowing and the leaves all whisper like something out of a horror movie.
I did some more exploring and spotted a squirrel. (I will have to stake out the field around my building sometime and get pictures of the white squirrels. Because. We have white squirrels. They’re pretty cool.)
Another squirrel, going about his/her squirrely business.
Anyway, I then tromped back up to the top of the Hill and took another picture of where people had been sledding. I might have tried sledding myself, but I don’t have anything that would make a good sled.
Then I spotted this rather huge chunk of snow on the hillside. I don’t know how it got there…
…but it proved to be surprisingly solid.
Another path back down the Hill.
Oh hey look it’s that faux bell tower I love so much! Let’s take another picture!
And here is a view of the other side of the chapel. It’s very quaint, isn’t it?
I really like this row of park benches. They’re kind of lovely for some reason. (And this part of the campus is really nice in the spring/summer, when the trees have leaves and everything’s all cool and shady.)
This is probably my favorite sculpture on campus, if only because I am a moderate origami nerd.
A view down campus. That big tower in the back there is nearly the end of the main campus; there are a couple more dorms behind it, but not much else.
A painted mural, and the end of our little safari!
I hope you enjoyed all the pictures! Until next time.
Origami sculpture! And columns!
Lovely pictures. ^_^
Thanks! :D
Thanks for sharing the pictures! I always like seeing uni/college campuses, and yours has some really neat things in it. I think the footpath under the bridge was my favourite, with the origami sculpture second. :)
No problem! I’m glad you liked the pictures. I really love my campus; it’s even prettier than these pictures show in the spring/summer, when all the trees and flowers are alive. I’ll have to go on another safari sometime before school lets out so you can see it. :)
(And the bridge is probably one of my favorite spots on campus. It’s so old-timey and mysterious-looking!)
